Alleviate Inc. was registered in 2020 as a Charity organization after witnessing the devastating impact of Covid-19 on families and communities in Port Moresby. It is built on the premise that Papua New Guineans are a generous and caring people – and given the opportunity, we will care for each other. We target the needy people of our city which include the homeless, disabled, widows, orphans, sex workers, rascals and former convicts. Each week we support over 300 of these people and the number is growing. A generous family and their partners are the major financier of this initiative.
We are inspired by the words of Christ in the Parable of the Great Banquet in Luke 14:21-23:
‘Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’ 22 And the servant said, ‘Sir, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.’ 23 And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.

• We have acquired land in Port Moresby to set this up.
In the near future we are planning to set up community centers of influence which will have both a hall, elementary school and an aid post.
Food justice is an important part of community justice. We take donations form local businesses and use them to fight hunger. Help us connect with donors and with people in need.
One Sunday a month, we mobilize our teams of volunteers to make a real difference. Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team to focus on change.
Our community is full of people who want to help. We work to help the people providing services with the people who need them. Come connect with people in new ways.
